Leadership Teams

The Human Resources (HR) team oversees AIRA's daily HR operations and implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives across the organization. The team is responsible for general HR management, staffing, fostering employee engagement, retention efforts, professional development, culture initiatives, and compliance. AIRA is dedicated to promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and a commitment to excellence.

Janette Carson, PHR, SHRM-CP| Human Resources Manager

Janette Carson joined AIRA in April 2026 as the Human Resources Manager. She brings more than 15 years of human resources experience across the nonprofit sector, including food justice, aging services, and behavioral health. She is passionate about building people-centered programs that strengthen culture and foster inclusive work environments where people can thrive. She approaches HR as a strategic partner, translating organizational needs into practical, human-focused solutions. Janette's experience spans talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and process management, as well as supporting employee well-being and development.

 


 

Skylar Adkins | Administrative Assistant  

Skylar Adkins joined AIRA in July 2023 as the Administrative Assistant for both the Education and Outreach and Human Resources teams. Prior to coming to AIRA, Skylar worked as an Administrative Assistant at a foster care agency, providing executive-level support to the CEO of the organization. Skylar has several years of experience working in administrative roles and over nine years of experience working with nonprofit organizations.
