About the Immunization Integration Program & Special Programs Team

Senior Management AIRA’s Immunization Integration Program (IIP) and Special Programs team partners with HIMSS, CDC, and other stakeholders to assure clinicians and immunization information systems have timely access to complete and accurate immunization data to improve clinical decision making and management, increase vaccination coverage, and reduce vaccine-preventable diseases. The team achieves its goals via the IIP Testing and Recognition Program and the IIP Collaborative.

Immunization Integration Program & Special Programs Team

 

Melissa McClung, MSPH | Director of the Immunization Integration Program & Special Programs

Melissa McClung joined AIRA in December 2020 as the Director of the Immunization Integration Program. In October 2023, her role expanded to include Special Programs. Her background includes five years of experience in software development, followed by 20 years at Denver Public Health where her work focused on applying innovative technology to public health. As an Epidemiologist and Project Manager, Melissa led the development and management of a mobile technology solution used to support public health preparedness activities, including mass vaccination and prophylaxis. Melissa was also the Project Manager for a closed-loop electronic referral project working to establish clinical-community linkages.


 

Rachael Miles, Lead Onboarding Analyst

Rachael Miles joined AIRA in August 2020 as a consultant on the IZ Gateway Team and became the Lead Onboarding Analyst on the Onboarding Shared Services Team in February 2021. Rachael began her work in the immunization information system (IIS) community in 2017 with the Wyoming Immunization Unit. During her time in Wyoming, she filled the roles of the IIS Support Specialist and IIS Interoperability Specialist. Rachael’s experience includes provider onboarding project management, training and education, and technical assistance.


 

Deepali Rastogi, MS | Senior Technical Project Manager

Deepali Rastogi joined AIRA in September 2020, where she contributes her expertise to support the IZ Gateway/Onboarding Shared Services Team. Before becoming a part of AIRA, Deepali accrued more than 14 years of experience as a senior software developer within Alabama’s immunization information system. During her tenure there, she played a pivotal role in providing programming and analysis support, focusing on the development and maintenance of web-based applications and HL7 interfaces. With a career spanning over two decades, Deepali boasts extensive experience in the field of information technology.


 

Jennifer Jubert | Business Analyst 

Jennifer Jubert joined AIRA in January 2024 as the Business Analyst for the Immunization Integration Program. Prior to AIRA, she worked for New Hampshire’s Department of Public Health as a Systems Development Specialist in the Immunization Section. She contributed to the development of the department’s Vaccine and Immunization Network Interface (VINI). In 2021, she helped launch the state’s immunization information system and served as a Data Analyst and Onboarding Coordinator for the HL7 interface. During her time with the state, she also worked as a Regional Public Health Network Immunization Coordinator and organized the school-based-clinics vaccine program. She began her career in health care in 2009 for a large hospital organization in the state of New Hampshire and held multiple roles during her 10+ years at the organization, including work in infectious disease, the inpatient pharmacy, and clinical informatics.


 

Sabrina Matlock, MHIHIM, PMP | Informatics Project Coordinator

Sabrina Matlock joined AIRA in July 2022 as the Project Coordinator for Immunization Integration Program. Prior to AIRA, Sabrina held various roles in the retail and service industries overseeing daily operations and enterprise-wide software systems. Sabrina brings to AIRA knowledge and experience in lean process improvement, user training and adoption, communication strategy, and consumer experience.
